I’m always looking to pick up a new skill to add to my repertoire. I’ve done some simple 3d work inside Photoshop but when I was asked to do some construction renders for my church I thought I needed to look to something a little more robust. Working with the within my budget ($0), Google Sketchup became the tool of choice. I was surprised how easy the program was to pick up & start running with. Here are a couple of renders I made for our church awning project.
